Vw Passat Oil Pressure Stop Engine. They have replaced a few things and it runs great for about a week and then we get STOP. The oil light only comes on if the engine is being damaged from low oil pressure. I would check the oil pressure sensor and the oil pump itself. And repairs completed at the dealership.
The one on the left came off an engine with about 55000 miles the right one had failed and worn away the sprocket teeth until the low oil pressure warning light came on at idle. 2003 passat warning light said stop engine low oil pressure auto was only half quart low filled still says same 8 Answers. I checked oil level and it was down half a quart so i filled it. I have a 2009 vw passat b6 20 tsi turboand left my house this morning and a mile down the road when i went to get on the highway the stop oil pressure stop engine light came on. Average repair cost is 590 at 128050 miles. I was driving it when the warning lamp beeped it read stop engine low oil presure.

I have a VW Passat 2006 20TDi 140bhp. Low oil pressure can be caused by a number of things including a low oil level excessive clearance between internal engine parts or problems with the oil pump. Locate the pressure switch on most modern cars it is on the oil filter housing module. You can take the sensor out and use a mechanical gauge to check the oil pressure.
